The peer-review process is an essential part of maintaining the academic quality and integrity of Theatre Dunia. Reviewers play a crucial role in evaluating the scholarly merit, originality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts. The journal follows a fair, transparent, and ethical peer-review system to ensure the publication of high-quality research in theatre studies, dramatic literature, and performance practice.
Reviewers are expected to:
Evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly based on academic merit.
Provide constructive and detailed feedback to help authors improve their work.
Assess the originality, clarity, methodology, and relevance of the research.
Complete the review within the assigned timeframe.
Inform the editorial board if they are unable to review the manuscript in time.
All manuscripts submitted to Theatre Dunia must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not:
Share the manuscript with others without permission from the editorial board.
Use any information from the manuscript for personal or professional advantage.
Discuss the content with unauthorized individuals.
Reviewers must decline the review if they have any conflict of interest with the author(s) or the research. Conflicts may include:
Personal or professional relationships with the author
Institutional affiliation with the author
Financial or academic competition
If any conflict exists, the reviewer should immediately notify the editorial board.
Reviewers should:
Identify any ethical concerns such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data fabrication.
Inform the editor if they suspect any form of academic misconduct.
Maintain professionalism and avoid personal criticism of the author.
Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:
Originality and contribution to theatre studies
Relevance to the journal’s scope
Clarity and organization of the manuscript
Research methodology and analysis
Proper citation and referencing
After reviewing the manuscript, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:
Accept
Minor Revision
Major Revision
Reject
The final decision regarding publication is made by the editorial board.

Official reviewer certificate
Acknowledgment in the journal
Inclusion in the reviewer panel of the journal
Reviewers are expected to follow internationally accepted academic and publication ethics in the peer-review process to maintain the scholarly reputation of Theatre Dunia.
